/> Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to produce television software for Sony Entertainment.

"But I'm certainly not directing anything on television. Where do I have the time? My next feature film Jail starts at the end of February. And then I'm planning another very big-budgeted film this year which I'll co- produce.

People probably presumed I was going to be directing stories for television because some of the ten stories assigned to us are female-centric."

Bhandarkar's television wing is being helmed by two filmmaker-friends Ashok Pundit and Raman Kumar.

Reveals Madhur, "The telelevision wing of my company Bhandarkar Entertainment Pvt Ltd will be looked after completely by Raman and Ashok. They'll choose the directors to make these telefilms."

Already on board are Suhail Tarari, Anand Rai and Javed Sayyed.

"And we're looking at several bright new names. Directors who don't necessarily regard televidion as a stepping stone to feature films. I think television today has a life far beyond cinema and we need to treat it as separate unit. Both Raman Kumar and Ashok Pundit are experienced hands at Indian television. I don't have to worry."
