John Abraham -starrer Hook Ya Crook is one of the movies affected by the ongoing recession.

Reportedly the entire cast including John has agreed to cut their remuneration to cut the cost of the project.

According to trade pundits HYC is based on cricket and during the recession a movie on cricket at the humungous budget of Rs 40 crores wasn't a safe bet. A source revealed that Irrfan Khan opted out of the film because of this reason and later Kay Kay Menon replaced Irrfan's role.

Directed by David Dhawan, Hook Ya Crook stars John Abraham Genelia D'Souza, Uday Chopra, Aditya Panscholi and Kay Kay Menon in important roles.

The film also has Indian skipper M.S Dhoni sharing the screen space with other actors.
