/> LUCK BY CHANCE hasn't been able to do much at the box office. If one looks at the first week collections of the film, it is obvious that immense appreciation coming it's way (both from media as well as the segment of audience that saw the film) didn't equate into crores.

Despite glowing reviews all over and very positive word of mouth, LUCK BY CHANCE struggled throughout it's opening week.

Whatever chances it had of survival in it's second week were hit by DEV D which diverted the target audience of LUCK BY CHANCE - Youth! Though the first week billing of LUCK BY CHANCE isn't too bad (the film brought home 10.5 crores), it's the price and the print count (both of them being high) that has failed.

The film did it's best business in Mumbai where it should manage to scrape through. However, Delhi wasn't impressive with sub-par collections.

'Unfortunate' is the best way to term LUCK BY CHANCE which was an honest effort from Zoya Akhtar and boasted of some brilliant performances. However, the film would now be relegated to DVD and satellite circuits (where it should perform quite well).

However, VICTORY didn't have anything going in it's favor except for some good feedback coming Harman's way. Otherwise, the film is a trade disaster with less than 2 crores coming in it's kitty at the end of first week run.

No one came out in defense of the film because there was hardly an time to do so. By the time the makers realized that the film had truly failed at the box office, it was too late and time for pack up.

One fails to understand though that why was the film so under-promoted en route to it's release. Agreed that Harman Baweja didn't quite enjoy a good beginning with the failure of LOVE STORY 2050 but even cricket as the theme (and India doing particularly well in the game this season) and USP was hardly harnessed. Sad!

There are some good hopes for Harman though. Since he has films with Anees Bazmee (IT'S MY LIFE), Ashutosh Gowariker (WHAT'S YOUR RASHEE) and Mani Rathnam (yet untitled) coming up in next one year, he has his future secure for sure.
