Going much against the tide Namrata Shirodkar thought she would be able to swim across with aplomb in the role of a young mother to Sanjay Dutt in Mahesh Manjrekar`s Hathyar, which hit the screens some weeks back.

The film`s debacle ended in her whimper and Namrata is already branded with an image – a young housewife who could be a mother too."I am not going to accept such roles in future, they could ruin my career," rues Shirodkar. The actress who has only a handful of films on hand, is also regretting her decision to snap ties with long-time fiancé Deepak Shetty. And now with hardly any career to boast of, she is left with no choice but to carry on irrespective of her failure or success in films.

The fact of the matter is – does she have a choice? Even a Shilpa Shetty knows which side her bread is buttered. You should have known long back that facing the camera may be easy but emoting before it isn`t your cup of coffee!
