Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue has put the head chef of a luxurious hotel here on a creative test. The diva, currently in India, demands a special dish whenever she is hungry rather than going by the menu.

Kylie is shooting for her maiden Bollywood venture in Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd's underwater thriller "Blue". The Grammy award winner is staying at the Renaissance Hotel here with her manager and assistant.

Famous for her foot-tapping numbers, elaborate music videos and expensively mounted stage shows, the "Fever" crooner apparently headed straight for a meeting with the head chef of the hotel Jose M. Ruiz when she arrived here to inform him about her eating likes and dislikes.

"They don't order room service at all. Every time they want to eat anything they call up directly the head chef. They don't even order any specific dish they want. They just ask him to prepare any combination or anything for them out of their pre-laid eating list, " a source from the production unit told.

"Irrespective of his shift timings, the chef too gets something special made for them out of the stuff they like to eat, as Kylie shares a great comfort level with him and places all her requests only to him, " the source added.

The 40-year-old singer landed in India Feb 26 and was received with much fanfare, a traditional welcome and tight security at the Mumbai airport.

Minogue, who is here till March 8 is playing herself in "Blue" and has also lent vocals to a song for the movie.

Having already recorded the song in her London studio, she is shooting for the same with the cast of the film including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and Lara Dutta.

Bollywood starlet Katrina Kaif also stars in the film.
