The Bachchans and the Behls have been friends for generations. The association started with Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan and Ramesh Behl and his wife being thick friends in the early years. Ramesh Behl made films with the Bachchan, both being from the same industry.

Cut to the next generation, and their offsprings - Goldie Behl and Shristi Behl have been very good friends with Abhishek Bachchan as they grew up together. So it was in the natural course of events that Goldie signed Abhishek for his directorial debut, Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. The film, however, bombed at the box-office, and it seems that has strained relations between the two. Abhishek was disheartened with the results at the box office, and indirectly took all his frustrations out on the director - his childhood pal.

Now, if the industry grapevine is to be believed, the second film Abhishek was to do with Goldie has been shelved and there are no hopes that he would work with Goldie in the near future in any case.
