The strongest buzz currently in industry circles is that Shah Rukh Khan has yet again gone to help the banner that catapulted him to big league. Industry insiders claim he has agreed to play the villain in Dhoom 3.

In the last two and a half years Yash Raj's only two films have been blockbusters while rest have faired either miserably or done just about average business.

Now these two films that have done well are both SRK starrers – Chak De India and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Now when the banner needs him the most, he has obliged yet again.

Sources claim, "Shah Rukh had been approached by the banner to play the main villain in the most successful franchise of Bollywood – the Dhoom series and he has immediately given the nod.

Last few days there has been a lot of buzz that Saif Ali Khan has signed the dotted line for the same role but it seems they were just plain rumours. The shooting of Dhoom 3 may start early next year.

However, it is not yet clear who is going to direct the film as the original director of the film Sanjay Gadhvi after the first two films have moved out of the YRF camp."

Some sources suggest it may be Aditya Chopra himself.
