If all goes well Anurag Kashyap's Kites will the first Indian film to get a massive opening in Mexico....swine flu permitting.

The film complete and edited and ready.

Says Rakesh Roshan, "Barbara Mori has finished all her work. We won't need her for the film now until the global premieres across the world in Diwali. So there's no question of her coming to Mumbai for Kites. We wish her well wherever she is."

The songs in Hindi by Rajesh Roshan would not only be dubbed in English but also in Spanish for the Latin American market.

Explains Rakesh Roshan, "The basic language of the film is Hindi for Hrithik and Spanish for Barbara. That remains unchanged no matter where we take the film. We might have English subtitles for Barbara Mori's Spanish dialogues."

After editing Kites is 2 hours 15 minutes long.

Rakesh Roshan has no objections to the film being described as an international Ek Duuje Ke Liye. If in that 1980s' Kamal Haasan-Rati Agnihotri starrer the couple couldn't follow each other's language because he was from South India while she was from the North in Kites Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori can't understand one another because he's Indian and she's Spanish.

Explains Rakesh Roshan, "It's a very realistic film. There are no lip-sync songs. The music comes and goes in the background."

Though the producer is confident of his film he says he'd never take the success for granted. "In fact every success makes one more unsure about the future. Your next film has to be bigger than the previous one. But I wonder how it can get any bigger than Kites!"
