Mahesh Bhatt was in Pakistan last week to meet and join some social activists who are fighting to save Sarabjit Singh's life. Mahesh who was in Karachi for two days met a lot of people related to the cause.

He feels that as Sarabjit has already served over 19 years in jail, the death sentence should be put aside. Sarabjit, who is now in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail, was arrested near the Kasur border in Pakistan in August 1990.

Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit's sister, met him recently at Dadar Gurudwara and tied him a rakhi, asking for help, which he would be glad to offer.

He hopes that his presence in Pakistan helps Sarabjit and his family. He is now in Amritsar to meet Sarabjit's lawyer Owif Sheikh from Pakistan. He, along with them, will think about what solution can come to the issue.
