Most national newspapers today carried Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's strong reaction about Shah Rukh Khan's detention that the King Khan had unnecessarily blown the matter out of proportion, so that it
would help him publicize his upcoming film My Name Is Khan.
Singh had also further stated that when former President Abdul Kalam had not complained about his frisking why was SRK making a big hue
and cry about it.
In reply to that at the press conference held today late noon at Shah Rukh's villa Mannat's lawns, the Bollywood Badshah sarcastically said, "I thought Amar Singhji is unwell.
Is he
back in Mumbai and has he got better now and making such statement? I think he is in Singapore and still not well and I am praying for his speedy recovery. I hope that he recovers soon with a healthy body and strong
mind. "
SRK and Amar Singh's frictions go back a long way. SRK had sarcastically joked about Amar Singh in his presence at a Film Awards function night to which Singh's supporters had created a ruckus outside SRK's
house Mannat.
At the press conference SRK also further stated that the detention issue wasn't a publicity stunt for My Name Is Khan and he was SRK and didn't need publicity.
