A Mumbai tabloid had carried a report on Tuesday August 25th claiming Salman Khan would be taking a Mumbai local train ride from Bandra station at 2 pm.

This news spread like wild fire and from 1 pm itself, a huge media circus assembled outside the suburban Mumbai station in wait of Salman. But Salman didn't turn up at all.

The tabloid had claimed that Salman wanted to take a local ride minus his bodyguards and experience how a common man staying in Mumbai manages to travel by train.

He had last traveled by a Mumbai local over 20 years back before he became a popular star. His proposed train ride was also basically to promote his upcoming next, Wanted which features his character often using a local train.

Salman is amongst the most popular celebrities with the media and understandably there was great curiosity since morning to see him catch a local train minus his entourage. But as it turned out to be a mere rumour nd false reporting by the Mumbai tabloid many print and electronic media journalists ended up literally tearing their hair out

Salman was also slated to visit the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal post his train ride but even that too it seems was a false report.
