Shiv Pandit, the new kid on the block has made a successful Bollywood debut by signing his 3rd Hindi film tentatively
titled Shaitan as main lead opposite Kalki Koechlin for director Bijoy Nambiar. Before this Shiv was seen in films like
UTV's Aage Se Right and Quartet's Lets Enjoy.
Shiv's metamorphosis from Television to Films has been rather interesting. The journey for this Delhi boy has included
successful stints as Radio Jockey in Radio Mirchi with a stint as a commentator for the very first IPL, to music videos
and playing the very popular comic cop opposite Chandramukhi Chautala in the TV series F.I.R.
"The world around me suddenly seems to be changing really fast; I never expected things to work out for me in
Bollywood so quickly! I am now looking forward to shooting with Bijoy Nambiar, he is a brilliant director, " says the
excited newcomer.
What's given Shiv a lot of creative satisfaction is also knowing that the short film called The Private Life of Albert Pinto
that he starred in, is currently doing the international festival circuit with screenings at the 10th OSIAN's Cinefan Festival,
New Delhi, South Asian International Film Festival (S.A.I.F.F), New York, Indian Visions Film Festival, Washington D.C
and Short Shorts Film Festival, Tokyo.
