No wonder Bollywood film industry is considered as the most speculative industry in the world. Here no calculations count in this business.

A trade pundit rightly states, "The most eagerly awaited film can turn out to be a dud and, likewise, the least anticipated film can hit the bull's eye. In other words, nobody can predict with cent per cent accuracy what surprise or shock a Friday will throw up. Two recent films underline the speculative nature of this business."

Elaborating his point, giving examples he states, "Salman Khan's 'Wanted' took a bumper start in single-screen cinemas in September this year. It may not have opened to excellent houses in the multiplexes, but collections jumped there too mid-week, because of Eid.

However, just four weeks later was released another Salman starrer, Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna. And the start it took was so poor, it could've given a heart attack to somebody who would've thought of betting on the film, based on the initial of Wanted.

Again, Kurbaan opened to dull houses last week al though it starred Saif Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor and, what's more, it was backed by bumper promotion. The same actor's (Saif Ali Khan) last film, before Kurbaan took a terrific start!"

"That is the scary part of this industry. You can never tell what's in store for a person on Friday!" he concludes.
