Abhinay Deo's ‘Crooked', which has been in trouble for various reasons, has finally steered clear of its problems; at least for now.

First Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dropped out of the project and Soniya Jehan was ushered in to replace her. Now, Kangana Ranaut will be playing the UK-based undercover cop in ‘Crooked'. However, there is just a week's time left and that is how long Kangana has to pick up a British accent and learn the moves required to play an athletic cop onscreen.

Kangana is helpless as she can't refer to any other Hindi film to prepare for her character. To top it all, her director too isn't exactly being helpful as after shooting all night, he sleeps during the day.

Though it is common knowledge that Aishwarya was chosen to play the role before Kangana, the latter still insists that she was indeed the first choice.

She talks about how producer Ritesh Sidhwani approached her once again with the film at short notice and she had to somehow accommodate it into her schedule. While she states that she cannot talk about the film, she admits that her role is different from anything she has ever played before.

We wonder what Kangana, who is closely associated with her Himachali accent, will sound like when speaking with a British one.
