With Hindi films becoming such a big market overseas, Bollywood is soon gaining the sort of importance that had evaded it for years. After Yaadein and Lagaan becoming such big hits in the US and the UK, filmmakers are trying hard to promote their films in the foreign market. The latest to join this bandwagon is apna superstar Shahrukh Khan whose Asoka- The Great is all set for worldwide release. And how is he promoting his historic epic?

Shahrukh will be flying down to Hollywood with the ready prints of Asoka to show the film to one of the world's greatest directors, Steven Spielberg this September. He wants an international release for his film and wants the foreign director to view the movie before it hits the theatres all over. "Yes, it's true that I will show him the movie," confirmed Shahrukh, talking about Asoka's release. Apparently, Shahrukh feels that Asoka has turned out very well and is sure that the international market will find the film very interesting and watchable. So, till Spielberg's verdict is out, we'll have to wait and watch for Asoka here in India itself.The film is scheduled for November release.
