Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor on Thursday was appointed brand ambassador of Spice mobile.

Now Sonam will be the new face of Spice across the mobility businesses including mobile handsets, mobile retail and value added services.

The association with the actress will be effective from immediate effect, said the company.

"I have always been particular about the brands that I am associated with. Spice is one of the fastest growing and trusted brands that is contemporary, showcases attributes that go with my own personality. I am happy to be associated with them, " said Sonam.

Sonam started her career as an assistant director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the making of the film Black. The charming actress is one of the brightest emerging stars of the Indian Film Industry with successful movies like 'Saawariya' and 'Delhi 6' to her credit.

In the past Spice have had associations with leading actresses from the Hindi film industry including Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif as brand ambassadors.
