His character in Thank You will be similar to the tramp made famous by Charlie Chaplin

After receiving much critical acclaim for his loser act in Housefull, Akshay Kumar will be playing yet another loser in love in Anees Bazmee's Thank You.

The Khiladi star has been inspired by the character of the tramp, made immortal by Charlie Chaplin. While Akshay enjoys doing comedy, he claims there is a limit to the number of slapstick roles he can do. But Chaplin's tramp is a character who hides his pain behind laughter.

And Akshay was much impressed with Chaplin after Sajid introduced him to the legendary actor's films. Akshay now wants to do Chaplinesque comedy. He also hopes to attempt a silent comedy like Chaplin's City Lights.

Thank You also stars Sonam Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
