Saregama India, the renowned music label, has taken its initial steps in edutainment. They have come up with an all new Rhymeskool Vol. 1 for nursery kids.
This album consists of old nursery rhymes like 'Twinkle Twinkle' and many more with completely new tunes. Students from A R Rahman's music school KM Music Conservatory, Chennai, composed the music for this album under his supervision.
A R Rahman, along with Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, launched the album recently. 'Twinkle Twinkle' and 'Flowers', a newly composed rhyme, were played to give the media and the audiences a preview of the album. Katrina Kaif has given narration in the album and she did it for free as it is for a charitable cause.
The Bollywood Beauty was shocked to hear the new versions of simple old rhymes. She feels that they now almost sound like a rap song. Well the times are now fast changing and even kids preferences. Rahman claims that his son downloads new applications, which even he doesn't use, on his own personal i-pad.
