Ravi Tripathi, the Indian Idol 2 finalist has become the real 'Indian Idol' as the singer has already sung for Akshay Kumar in Chandni Chowk to China and he has performed DD-1's Close-up. Above all, the hard working singer was present in China for 'The one year countdown ceremony for the 16th Asian Games'.

The ceremony was held at 'Guangzhou Gymnasium', China on Thursday. 45 Asian countries are participating in the 16th Asian Games 2010. After veteran actor director Raj Kapoor, Ravi Tripathi proved to be the most popular in China that he has done more than 50 shows all over the country.

Ravi Tripathi represented India at the ceremony. The event was divided in three chapters, 'Fervent Expectation', 'Colorful Asia' and 'Hospitable Invitation'. Ravi Tripathi was a part of 'Colorful Asia' giving a performance on the well known number of AR Rahman 'Jai ho' from Slumdog Millionaire. Entire audience present at the event enjoyed every bit of his act.

When contacted, Ravi said, "I am glad to be a part of this ceremony and so am honored. It was a great experience."

Jackie Chan, the promotional Ambassador of the show appreciated Ravi for his singing.

The show ended on a good note with all the artist from across Asia performed together at the stage with Jackie Chan.
