Ashmit Patel believes in taking his roles very seriously. So, when the actor was required to wear a dhoti-kurta for his
film THE FLAG, the actor not only practiced wearing it with absolute ease, but even mastered the art of tying it himself.
Informs an insider, ''In THE FLAG, Ashmit is playing a patriotic character, Deva. Since the film has the
backdrop of a small rural village, Ashmit had to wear kurtas and dhotis throughout the film. And he was so excited
about wearing dhotis that he even learned how to drape one in a true villager style.
When asked about it,
Ashmit confirmed it and said, ''Yes, draping a dhoti is quite an art! Not that I have never worn a dhoti earlier, but this
time it was the only costume I had to wear throughout the film, so I thought I might as well learn to wear it.''
Being a suave dresser, this must have been a total change & one shouldn't be surprised if he looks dapper in a dhoti
too.
