A chartered flight from Colombo saw Salman Khan return to Mumbai in eight hours in stead of the usual three

Salman Khan took a chartered flight to return from Colombo after attending a recent film award event there. However, an otherwise three-hour flight took him eight hours due to several problems.

Several problems
Apart from getting permission to take off at the scheduled time the flight also faced issues like turbulence and air traffic. Bad weather during take-off from Colombo, added to their woes.

Joining Salman on the flight were other actors like Arya Babbar, Sonakshi Sinha, Harman Baweja, Riteish Deshmukh, Sohail Khan, Zeenat Aman and Mandira Bedi. A source says, "Everyone was exhausted because of the delay.

It was a painful journey with the constant delays and the problems. The flight was supposed to take off at around 3.30 pm, but they finally got permission to fly only by 5 pm. Since regular flights are given preference over private airlines, they had no option but to wait."

Their troubles didn't end there. "After reaching Mumbai they had to hover around for a while before getting a parking bay."
