As reported by us, last monsoon, the shoots of 'Lapataganj' (SAB TV) were shelved due to heavy rains and the situation turned terrible. The channel was falling short of episodes that could be shown on television. Having learnt a lesson last year, the shoots of the show are being readied well in advance this year, in anticipation of the rains.

A source says, "We were not alert last monsoon as our show had just started. Unlike other shows, 'Lapataganj' shoots do not take place within a palace or indoors where we can continue even in monsoon.

As we have to shoot the maximum number of our scenes outdoors, it becomes a problem during the rains. But this time we are alert and getting prepared to keep a number of episodes handy which can be used during our monsoon holidays."

"We have already shot for 6 extra, urgent episodes till now which translates into almost one and the half week's telecasts without needing to shoot. As it's just beginning to rain, we can't be more careful. I don't know what will happen next. We are just trying to cope with calamity well in advance." adds source.

Well, we wish the 'Lapataganj' team every luck in overcoming the problems created by the Mumbai monsoon.
