Not too long ago, Anil Sharma's Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon won the prestigious award at Kashish's Mumbai Queer International Film Festival, where it beat 110 films from all over the globe, and even got a standing ovation. But, that is not where the buck is stopping for the sensitive film that portrays homosexuality and other relationships as well.

There has been one more achievement for the film. It has now been selected at the I View New York Film Festival, which will be held in September. None other than the great film maker Mira Nair is in the selection committee of the festival, which is known to be supported by the engendered organization that focuses on women and gender issues.

The who's who from Bollywood - Farhan Akhtar, Kirron Kher, Zoya Akhtar, Boman Irani attended the fest last year.

Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon, which has been directed by Sanjay Sharma, stars Kapil Sharma, Maradona Rebello, Helen, Zeenat Aman, Rituparna Sengupta. The film is garnering interest offshores already! It's just a matter of time before it releases in India and makes waves too.
