Soham Shah's dream project of making a film on Shivaji is finally coming true. Politician Nilesh Rane has decided to produce a 3D film on the ruler and has signed Soham to direct it.

Soham is apparently keen that the film's lead role be essayed by his close friend Sanjay Dutt, but the whole topic is being kept under wraps as Sanjay is still mired in legal troubles.

Soham will start work on the Shivaji project, tentatively titled Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, only after he completes the film he has agreed to make for Sanjay Dutt's production house. The Shivaji film may be entirely in Hindi or may be a bilingual in Hindi and Marathi.

Soham has earlier worked with Sanjay on the two films Luck and Kidnap, both of which flopped at the box office.
