Model-turned-actor Bikram Saluja, who starred opposite the extremely talented Karisma in "Fiza", loves to experiment with roles.

That is why he has taken up diametrically opposite roles in "Roshni" where he plays a "cad", and in "Hot" where he plays the good samaritan.

"I love to walk the fine line between good and bad, to experiment with roles and find my niche as an actor. I'm picky about what I do," he says.

Saluja is delighted about playing the mean guy in "Roshni".

"There I'm the cad who tortures the poor wife. Milind Soman is the knight in shining armour," he says laughing.

One thing he can't figure out is why his new starrer opposite the latest nymphet Neha Dhupia has been renamed "Hot".

"There's nothing 'hot' about 'Limit'," he says a trifle indignantly. "It's a straightforward triangle where I play the good guy who rescues Neha from her husband, when after some years of marriage she discovers he's a womaniser. Pravin Dabas plays the husband."

Adhiyaman is the director of "Hot."

One film that Bikram is really looking forward to is Madhur Bhandarkar's "Page 3".

"There, unlike these other films I'm doing, I don't really have a pivotal role. I'm part of a very interesting ensemble cast...I don't think these troubles in Madhur's life (the alleged rape charge) would affect the film...It had better not! I need a film like 'Page 3' to get me going."

And Bikram isn't keen to give up the principles he feels so strongly for either.

"I don't want to be part of any cheesy film. Recently I was asked to show my butt for a film. I said, no thanks and walked way. I'd rather sit at home than compromise on my morals. Not everyone sleeps around. At least there're some guys who're faithful to their woman," Saluja says referring to himself.

I'm a one-woman man," Bikram announces with pride. He is marrying his girlfriend of five years, Sachauna, on December 6.

"Thank God there's at least someone and something steady and stable in my life," says the genial young actor.

"The wedding takes place in my home town Indore. There'll be a reception in Mumbai two days later for all my friends. I'm really looking forward to marriage. Who knows, it may bring me luck in my career. All the big stars from Mr Bachchan to Shah Rukh to Hrithik are married men. Maybe the one thing lacking in my life is that factor."

As he waits for his career to take off, Bikram isn't twiddling his thumbs at home.

"I've started writing a script which is set in a public school...I don't want to waste my time partying and womanizing. I'd rather use every moment of my time constructively."
