The cool dude Salman Khan turns a widower and a working class father of two in Mahesh Manjrekar's Hindi adaptation of the Marathi movie Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho. No one had probably imagined the chiseled Sallu to play such a deglamorized role.

Surprising all his fans, the Wanted star has agreed to add some kilos to fit into the character. The movie is now being shot in Sri Lanka, in which Mahesh Manjrekar will be seen playing the role of his father.

The original Marathi film deals with a teenager, who loves to play cricket instead of spending some time in studies and Salman could easily connect with the role.

According to a source close to Khan, "As a child, Salman Khan also had a volatile relationship with his father Salim Khan like the central character in the film. He has shared his hatred for formal education and also the way he was beaten in childhood".

Manjrekar added, "Salman loved the Marathi film. The film can open a new kind of fan following for this star as he never tried this middle class kind of film earlier. The cool dude needs to play a not-so-cool dad now".

Hopefully, the cool dude image does not overshadow his new avatar and Sallu comes out with another hit!
