Omi Vaidya has been signed for one of the main roles in Abbas Mustan's remake of The Italian Job. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Apparently, Abbas and Mustan were impressed by Omi's performance in 3 Idiots and so decided to cast him in this role, which is also a comic role. Govinda had been the first choice, before 3 Idiots released.

According to the director duo's script, they have to sign one more actor for the fourth lead role. There are two female leads. While Katrina has been signed for one, the other actress will be decided only after the heroes' casting is final. The makers are not considering Priyanka Chopra as they believe she does not suit the role.

The film will go on floors in November in Goa and then continue shooting in Russia and New Zealand.
