At a time when Facebook just hit 500 million active users and everyone has a desperate need to 'follow' or 'like', how does one stand out? By naming your dog 'Facebook' of course.

According to buzz, the 29-year-old Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is about to 'followed' around by a dog called Facebook for her upcoming film Golmaal 3.

Apparently the film's director, Rohit Shetty thought it would be cool to name Kareena's dog Facebook, and everyone on set rooted for the idea the idea in unison.

"It was a hilarious idea, the whole team was in splits, " said an insider.

In the film, which hit floors on March 20 this year, Kareena plays a tomboy in the film, sporting funny captioned t-shirts and followed by this dog and 'totally different' from her soap-obsessed character in Golmaal Returns.

Reportedly the dog will be the same Boxer that was seen in Shetty's last film All The Best, starring Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan.

Shetty is so fond of the name that he has reportedly said if he ever keeps a pet, it will definitely be called Facebook.
