The director has been working out to appear leaner for his appearance as a judge on the latest season of a reality show

In case you were wondering where Sajid Khan had disappeared to, we'll tell you. The Housefull director was busy over the last two months slimming down and scouting entertainers for Colors' reality show India's Got Talent (he's a judge along with Sonali Bendre and Kirron Kher).

Sajid says, "I get into my films so much that I always put on a lot of weight while directing them. First I put on weight for Hey Babyy!! and then lost a few kilos. This time after Housefull released, I had to lose weight fast as I was also judging India's Got Talent. While I did lose 10 kgs, I was aiming for 20."

The director works out in his bedroom at his Juhu residence. He says "I have a treadmill, weights and a machine for the chest. I have told my trainer Ravi, who's been with me for over two years now that if he doesn't make me lose five kgs a month he will lose his job."

Khan's exercise routine includes jogging and walking for an hour. "I have to walk and jog at least 6 km every day. My method is a little different. I put on a movie on my projector and start jogging or walking on my treadmill.

When the film is halfway through, I take a break and resume again in the evening. I jog for almost two hours every day. I can't diet as I have a sweet tooth so weights, jogging and walking are my only workouts."

This is the first time that Sajid will be judging a reality show. "It's been a different experience for me. I have been travelling every day with 40 different participants from various states and working almost 10-15 hours a day.

This show works for me because I don't like shows which have overdressed heavily made up kids doing item songs or with weapons in their hands who have been pushed into the show by aggressive parents."

His next film will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani and not best buddy Sajid Nadiadwala who had produced his earlier two hits - Hey Babyy!! and Housefull. "My next film will not be a comedy. And I am doing this film with his blessings. I want to direct one film outside Sajid's banner. And no, we haven't fought. Nothing can come between us. I love him to death."
