SAB TV has once again introduced a silent comedy after the so-called success of 'Gutur Gu', joining hands with Deepti Bhatnagar production house. The show is directed by Shaikh Nasir.

The most surprising element from 'Malegaon Ka Chintu' is the cast as they are all basically from Malegaon and there is no permanent set of the show. The production house decides to shoot at any set up as the script demands.

The character of Chintu resembles one of biggest comedian of the industry named Mr. Bean and thus when asked whether the character of Chintu was inspired by Mr. Bean, Anooj Kapoor EVP and the business head of the show says, "No, we are not at all inspired by Mr. Bean but the role is perceived like that.

We can rather say that Mr. Bean is obsessed by himself while Chintu is obsessed by outer world also; and even if we want to make any show on Mr. Bean we would have rather get permission from the real Mr. Bean and would have done a similar show with similar character".

"Chintu has altogether a different persona and he cannot be compared with any other comedian", adds Anooj.

For the time being, we agree with you Mr. Anooj, but only the time will declare whether Chintu is similar to Mr. Bean or not. So get glued to you TV set and enjoy the Indian version of Mr. Bean as 'Malegaon Ka Chintu', from August 6, every Friday at 8:00 PM on SAB TV.
