Popular Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Asif would soon kickstart his movie career with a Malayalam film. The movie would be directed by famous lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboodiri.

The movie is called Mazhavillinnattamvare that roughly translated as till the tip of the rainbow. The shooting of the film would initiate in September in North Kerala.

The film also debuts Kaithapram as the director, he is the one who has penned hundreds of songs, and also at the same time has been presented with an array of several national and state awards.

Asif will be free by the month of September and the shooting will begin in Kannur in North Kerala. The movie starts with Asif as a coach coming to a cricket camp located in Kannur. His journey from Lahore to Kerala also has a personal aim. The motion picture will gradually progress through his trip towards his goal.

Kaithpram also handles the story apart from direction. He is going to take care of both the lyrics as well as the songs. It is said that there would be a total of five songs and a ghazal.

The playback singers for the movie would include the likes of Udit Narayan, K.S. Chitra, Deepankuran, Sankar Mahadevan, K. J. Yesudas, and Shreya Ghoshal.

A Sharjah-based entrepreneur M. Mukundan is the producer of Mazhavillinnattamvare; underneath the banner of Valluvankadavu Recreations.
