If sources are to be believed, actor John Abraham did not charge any fee for his forthcoming film "Aashayein" and neither did director Nagesh Kukunoor.

"John and Nagesh felt this movie is beyond economics. This film, according to them, is about something much deeper. The film for them is about hope, " said the source.

"Aashayein" narrates the story of a compulsive gambler, Rahul Singh, played by John, who discovers new meanings of fortune and life through a dramatic turn of events.

The movie releases Aug 27.

"The film's story is very positive and John and Nagesh were very confident about it. Even when it got delayed, they never lost hope. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to know about their sweet and considerate gesture of both of them, " added the source.
