Director Imtiaz Ali is ready to face the camera again and this time for director Sushil Rajpal, who initially wanted to cast Ali in his latest release 'Antardwand'.

Rajpal is now ready with his next project 'Old Monk' and has assured to cast the 39 year old director turned actor Imtiaz Ali of 'Jab We Met' fame. Sushil Rajpal wanted to Imtiaz to play the lead role in 'Antardwand', which was based on a real life tale of kidnapping in Bihar. However, Ali was filled with his directorial venture at that time and could not act in that movie.

However, Ali was an integral part of the promotion for the film 'Antardwand'. He got dressed like a groom for the promotion of Rajpal's movie, which has already received National Award.

The movie 'Old Monk' will show the smart and polished Imtiaz in a new light. The 'Old Monk' moves between Bihar and Mumbai.

Imtiaz had earlier made a cameo appearance in the 2004 movie 'Black Friday' by Anurag Kashyap. He will also be seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor's upcoming movie 'Ra One'.

In 2008, the director Imtiaz Ali gave the blockbuster hit 'Jab We Met' starting Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor and he got nominated for the 'best director' in the 'Filmfare Awards'. Now, who knows he might bring home a 'best actor' award with this new movie!
