Pune district administration has issued a show cause notice to the producers of Bigg Boss 4, asking why shooting should not be stopped in the wake of potential law and order disturbances caused by the reality show.

Additional collector R K Gaikwad told reporters that he had issued the notice in his capacity as the district magistrate.

Gaikwad said the notice was issued to Endemol India Private Limited on Thursday itself as the next three days are public holidays.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Shiv Sainiks, led by Shiv Sena MPs Gajanan Babar and Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, gate-crashed the house in Lonavala where Bigg Boss 4 was being filmed, on Friday afternoon.

The mood outside the house was tense after news of the protest spread.

The police did not take any chance and soon the house turned into a fortress with armed policemen keeping a tight vigil from morning. Inside the bungalow too, one could see many private security guards.

A huge number of Shiv Sainiks, led by Babar, walked through the Lonavala market, shouting slogans against Pakistani artistes being allowed to participate in the program.

Shiv Sainiks had a minor scuffle with the police and took their protest right outside the house.

Later, Babar met an official posted at the Bigg Boss house and handed him a list of demands of the Sena.

Coming to more a more spicy development, television actress Surveen Chawla, who was last seen hosting Comedy Circus Ke Superstar on Sony Entertainment Television, is rumoured to be entering Bigg Boss 4, as a wildcard entrant.

Surveen hails from Delhi and she made her TV debut in 'Kahin Toh Hoga' by Balaji Telefilms. She followed it up with 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay' in which she played the character of Kasak.
