Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest offering Guzaarish may have run against controversies of being plagiarized, but that does not mean that the director will stop talking about his film which is being touted as one of the biggest releases of this year. In a statement to the media, Sanjay Leela Bhansali says that there have to be people in the society who will look after the interests of the mentally and physically challenged and he would like to play that role.

It is true that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always tried to delve into the problem of the troubled mind in each of his films.

The director explains that since he cannot go ahead and meet every person who is suffering in this world, he seeks to pay homage to them through his works.

Therefore where we have seen a deaf and mute couple in Khamoshi and lovelorn lovers in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya, we will get to see a paraplegic magician in the upcoming Guzaarish. Hrithik Roshan will play the role of the paraplegic with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as his nurse wife.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants to explore the sentiments of a paraplegic person through his film Guzaarish. It is said that a paraplegic patient often demands euthanasia when he is unable to bear the pain that he has to live with. Thus the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production essentially deals with a human sentiment.
