Acclaimed filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, best known for making period dramas like "Lagaan" and "Jodhaa Akbar", says it is challenging to make a typical Bollywood potboiler that excites the audience.
"I would love to make a glamourous movie sometime. But those movies seem easy to make, yet it is very difficult to make them. I don't know if I would ever make a completely mainstream film...but I don't mind making a murder mystery or a horror film, " said Gowariker.
He did try his hand at commercial cinema with "What's Your Rashee?", but it failed miserably at the box office. He returned to his trademark style with "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey", and is now ready to work on "Buddha".
