Television actress Achint Kaur, known for playing the modern woman on the small screen, feels there is a dearth of writers who can churn out good comedies.

"I have read comedy scripts and except for J.D. Mathejia (of 'Khichdi' fame) or 'Office Office', I have not liked any other comedy script, " Achint told.

"We have not evolved to that level that we can write good comedies. There are only some shows that re good but other comedies don't excite me, " she added.

The actress is currently seen in Zee TV's "Jhansi Ki Rani".
