That's how kids at a special school described the actor when asked about him. Some images never get erased, do they?

Ranbir Kapoor may be more than a few films (and several ads) old but it greatly surprised him that children still associate him with his towel-dropping act from Saawariya.

The actor got a taste of this first-hand at a special school while researching his character for Anurag Basu's Barfee. RK plays a deaf-mute in the film.

Character insights

Says a source from the film, "He has been visiting these schools to get an insight into his character for the film as shooting begins March 20. "

During one such visit to a Goregaon school, he attended a class held for the children and even did a few exercises with them.

The li'l ones recognised him immediately and ran to him and started hugging him. He was overwhelmed by their gesture. "

After classes, the director and the actor spent time with the children over lunch. After meals, the students were asked through sign language who Anurag was.

They correctly replied that he was a director. When asked about Ranbir, they simply picked up towel and napkins, dropping them from like their bodies, a la RK in Saawariya.

"He found it quite cute, had a good laugh and clapped for them. " For his role in Barfee, Ranbir has even been taking sign language classes.
