The world of Twitter is in full swing as they lavished praise on the Indian team for their memorable victory against Australia in the crucial quarter-final clash on Thursday night.

From sport stars to Bollywood glitterati all are busy appreciating the performance of Dhoni and company besides expressing their thrill to watch the much awaited India-Pakistan semi-final.

Interestingly, Indian tennis icon, Sania Mirza remarked: "I support India and @realshoaibmalik (Shoaib Malik) will support Pakistan as usual!the war is on..lol..hahah."

"Ponting is the Black Swan. -Don D is the prince," said former cricketer Ian Chappell.

Iconic Australian spinner Shane Warne feels that the world of cricket need to see some new team to lift the World Cup this year.

"Congrats team India on win. Very good chase. To the Aussie boys you have done well for a long time - maybe time for some changes," Shane Warne said.

"I'd say that's a pretty good prediction.. Congrats India!!" stylish English batsman Kevin Pietersen said after India defeated their arch-rivals Australia.

The world of Bollywood also appreciated India's performance on Thursday night as the celebrities kept on sharing their excitement on Twitter.

B-town beauties appreciated Yuvraj Singh's crucial knock on Thursday night that ensured India a remarkable victory at the end of the battle.

"Ok Australia start thinking about the meal you will have on the plane. The plane back home mate!" writer Chetan Bhagat said in a humorous tone.

India defeated Australia by five wickets on Thursday night and gears up to face arch rival Pakistan at semi-final clash next week.
