Mahie Gill has bagged the lead role in Ram Gopal Verma's next

Mahie Gill has bagged the lead role in Ram Gopal Verma's next, tentatively titled Love Story. The film will go on the floors by the month-end.

RGV was to shoot Department first but unavailability of Amitabh Bachchan's dates have pushed his hand. He has decided to shoot the Gill flick as a quickie in the meantime.

Our source informs, "Ramu has started work on an interesting script. It's female oriented.

He wanted a strong, bold actress for the part. RGV has been following Mahie's work and felt she suited the role. He met her and she has given a verbal commitment but the formalities have to be worked out."

The Dev D actress says, "I did meet Ramu but nothing is final yet. We are still in talks."
