Star singer Akon won hearts of his fans in the national capital on Saturday night as they grooved to his popular numbers in Gurgaon.

Dressed in a black coat, Akon sang his popular numbers on stage as a true-blue rock star as audience kept cheering him and shouting his name.

Large numbers of people attended the much-talked about Gurgaon concert on Saturday.

It was also a breather for the celebrated Senegalese-American singer, songwriter and producer, who landed amidst controversies and troubles on Friday after he refused to perform in the West Inn hotel at Pune.

On Friday night his fans vandalized the hotel after they came to know about Akon's decision of not performing in that hotel, media reports said.

The crowd demanded a refund of their tickets and left the venue only after they were assured of getting back the money.

Akon's Pune concert was reportedly cancelled as the authorities did not have the necessary foreign artist performance license.
