Bachchan Jr to star in 'Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap' director's next action thriller

Even before Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap hits screens, Abhishek Bachchan has confirmed director Puri Jagannadh's next venture, Businessman.

It is believed to be an action film with a number of light moments and foot-tapping music. Not surprisingly, this venture too, will be produced by AB Corp.

It is believed that Puri, an erstwhile associate of Ram Gopal Varma, was so impressed with Abhi's performance in Mani Ratnam's Yuva that it inspired him to come up with an appropriate subject for the actor.

However back then, unavailability of dates forced their collaboration on a back-burner.

Apparently late last year, Puri again approached Abhishek. But he was occupied with Abbas-Mustan's Players and Rajkumar Santoshi's Ladies And Gentleman, and so production was put on hold for this year.

In the interim, Puri came up with the script of BHTB. As everything fell into place, the film is now scheduled to release on July 1, and Businessman with Abhi is scheduled to start early next year.

When asked about it, Abhishek confirmed saying, "Puri is a very good director and he's come up with yet another fabulous subject. I couldn't work with him earlier, but I'm glad with the way he's made BHTB with dad."

He further added, "We've seen the kind of work Puri has done previously with Pokhiri (the orginal Tamil film which inspired Salman Khan's Wanted). So I'm looking forward to working with him."
