Monday will mark the 72nd birth anniversary of Indian musical legend RD Burman who had enchanted Indian audience for decades with his soul touching compositions.

The career than spanned for nearly 33 years brought in freshness and charm to the Bollywood music from 1960's.

He has added his evergreen compositions and music in films like Caravan, Yaadon Ki Baraat, Aap Ki Kasam, Masoom, Saagar.

It was Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala starrer 1942: A Love Story for which he had composed music for the last time in his life and had even grabbed the 'Filmfare Best Music Director Award'.

This musical genius passed away in 1994.
