Just before he left for an overseas film awards event held over the weekend, Arshad Warsi had embarked on a bike trip from Manali to Ladakh.

It was something the actor had been planning for a long time as reported 'On a biking sojourn' (Hitlist, June 9).

As soon as he returned, he became busy with the event in Toronto. Finally, he now recounts the experience. "It was a journey to remember especially when my bike skid at Tanglang La (a mountain pass at Ladakh).

The place is 17, 682 ft high. At about 16, 000 ft the bike slipped, I thought I would fall off the cliff but stopped in the tracks in the nick of time."

The actor adds, "I also met the army folk besides a highly respected and reincarnated lama who was my fan. He blessed me."

The fact that he slept in a R 100 per bed per night accomodation was a singularly unique experience for him.

"My face was sunburnt!" he states. On his return his presence at Leh airport caused a stir. "I met and took pictures with each and every fan in the aircraft."
