Ekta Kapoor's latest superstition -- shoot at the Indian beach destination

While a good number of Bollywood denizens are said to be superstitious, it's well known that Ekta Kapoor aces them all in this aspect. The newest addition to the television Czarina-turned-movie producer's fixation is Goa.

She has decided to shoot a major part of the Kya Kool Hain Hum sequel there.

A creative producer of Balaji Motion Pictures suggested Bangkok, since the screenplay required considerable portion around the beach.

"But Ekta preferred Goa as a majority of the films shot there in the recent times, have fared very well commercially, " reveals a source.

Ekta was not available for comment, but director Sachin Yardi, who also scripted the first KKHH, confirmed the news. He says, "Though the luck factor was also influential to some extent, Goa fitted the requirement of the script perfectly."

Yardi takes over the reigns from Sangeeth Sivan, who helmed the first edition. He tells us that the sequel explores a new story, but the two protagonists remain the same. "While Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh are confirmed, we're yet to finalise their leading ladies and the rest of the cast, " said the writer-director.

He further reveals that they haven't decided the shooting locations in the beach state. "I'll do a recce this August before we fix the locales.

Once that's locked, we'll start production in September, " he adds. The plan is to release the movie next summer.
