Relive their bachelorhood days when they were staying together

What do directors Imtiaz Ali, Abhishek Chaubey and Vishal Bhardwaj have in common? They were all students of Hindu College, Delhi and they all also shared a hostel there.

The three esteemed filmmakers relived their hostel days when they went to attend the alumni meet of their college.

Flashback

Chandrachud Singh, warden, Hindu college and the professor of Political Science who organised the meet informs, "We have renovated the hostel and asked the ex-hostellers to come back and live there for day. 300 students attended the meet starting from 1954 batch.

From Bollywood, Vishal, Imtiaz, Abhishek and the TV star Rajesh Kumar (Rosesh from Sarabhai VS Sarabhai) were present."

Singh, who hosted a party at his place, informs that everyone had a blast including the B-Towners. "There was a qawali session with a tandoor and a bar. You can't drink in the hostel. Lot of sher-o-shayari also took place. The party went on till the wee hours.

Imtiaz who is my batch mate shot Rockstar (starring Ranbir Kapoor) here. He also wanted to come back to the renovated hostel. He didn't behave like a famous director at all. They all had the same breakfast that they used to have as residents, " Singh said.

Getting nostalgic

Talking about Imtiaz and Vishal he says, "They were very nostalgic and talking all sorts of things that I can't say on record.

You can understand when boys come back free from their wives and children and spend a night together. Imtiaz said that Vishal was his senior and was the one to introduce him to social drinking.

To this Vishal retorted 'yes, I did and I have come back just to see if you are continuing doing it or not.'"
