Anil Kapoor has been known to be able to juggle all kinds of cinema, both, mainstream and parallel, but of late he has had little time apart from mainstream Indian and international projects. This is about to change.

The actor has been in talks with filmmaker Sanjivan Lal, who released Bubblegum, a small-budget film recently. Although it did not set the cash registers ringing, it garnered exceptional reviews.

Kapoor will be teaming up with Lal to produce and act in a film that will take a look at the trafficking of women from Nepal to Dubai, via India.

The film has been titled Consignment, and Lal has been researching the subject for 10 years. "Anil has agreed to star in the film and he will also produce it. I've been researching on the subject of trafficking between Nepal and Dubai, via Mumbai, for ten years. I think I am ready to tell the harrowing story, " Lal said.

Lal is, however, disappointed that Bubblegum didn't do well. He is unhappy about the comparisons made between his film and Vikram Motwane's Udaan that saw unprecedented success, and also dealt with troubled adolescence. Both films were set in Jamshedpur. Blaming Imtiaz Ali, director and Motwane's mentor, for the comparison, Lal said, "Imtiaz is from Jamshedpur. He suggested that Udaan be shot in Jamshedpur. The difference between Vikram and me is that I am from Jamshedpur. And he is not."
