Channel (V) has announced popular music director A R Rahman and singer Adnan Sami as judges for the final
phase of auditions to select the Samsung (V) Super Singer.
The 30 short-listed participants from the zonal rounds will be flown to Mumbai and will undergo intensive
grooming and training before Adnan and Rahman curtail the list to five.
Welcoming Rahman in the quest for Samsung (V) Super Singer, Channel (V) Head Honcho Amar K Deb said,
''As we move into the finale of this reality show, it is befitting that we approach the country's leading music
director A R Rahman to help us in the final stage in the search of the next singing sensation of the country. ''
Playback singer and pop sensation Adnan Sami, in search of Samsung (V) Super Singer, has
travelled the length and breadth of the country during the ten-city auditions which culminated recently.
A whopping 25,000 contenders participated in the nationwide hunt.
The five finalists, selected by Adnan and Rahman from the 30 short-listed participants, will undergo another
month of training and grooming. They will also be given an opportunity to compose their own original tracks for
the final audition.
The Samsung (V) Super Singer winner will walk away with a recording contract for the release of a music
album, an opportunity to playback for a leading Bollywood producer, and release of a music video to launch the
album. The other four finalists will also contribute one original track each to the album.
