'Get well soon Jagjit Saab,' Bollywood prays for speedy recovery

Jagjit Singh's Bollywood colleagues like singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal as well as friends like actors Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher have wished a speedy recovery for the ghazal maestro, who is critical after undergoing surgery for brain haemorrhage at a Mumbai hospital

The 70-year-old singer was operated at the Lilavati Hospital Friday, when he was scheduled to sing with Pakistani ghazal king Ghulam Ali at a concert.

Get well soon wishes started pouring in on microblogging site Twitter ever since, with melody queen Lata Mangeshkar being one of the first to react to the news. Here's what some of the celebrities tweeted:

Lata Mangeshkar: mujhe abhi pata chala hai ki hum sab ke priya ghazal singer Jagjit Singhji ko brain hemorrhage hua hai aur woh hospital me hai, main ishwar se prarthana karti hu ki wo jald acche ho jaaye, aur aap sab bhi unke liye prarthana kijiye... (I have just come to know that our favourite ghazal singer Jagjit Singhji had a brain hemorrhage and he is in hospital. I will pray for his fast recovery and all of you should also pray for him.)
