Shooting of 'Student of the Year' has begun at the famous Convent of Jesus and Mary School at the hill station

Shimla's famous landmark the Convent of Jesus and Mary School has been converted into a hospital for the filming of Student of the Year.

Producer-director Karan Johar who is currently shooting in Himachal Pradesh's capital for his movie has rechristened it to All Bless Hospital.

The movie that stars newcomers Alia Bhatt (daughter of Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt), Varun Dhawan (son of David Dhawan) and model Siddharth Malhotra was being filmed in the school over the weekend. Rishi Kapoor joined them later.

Says a source, "Rishi Kapoor arrived on Monday for the shooting. He shot at the Woodvilla Palace in Shimla. Later he was spotted at the Mall Road, the main thoroughfare of the hill station."

Adds the source, "Alia's mother Soni Razdan is accompanying her for the shoot."

A lot of locals were involved in the filming at the school. Despite the cold weather, several people had turned up to see the shoot as news about Karan being in Shimla with his cast and crew spread. 3 Idiots was also shot at the same location.
